First aid charity's £900k funding

The first aid charity St John Wales is to receive £900,000 in assembly government funding to allow it to keep all its Cardiff vehicles under one roof.

The funding will improve and enhance the services that is offered to the people of Wales, the site in Fairwater will also house a life-saving skills training centre for young people in the area.

St John Wales supports the work of the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust during peak times.

In 2009, St John Wales transported more than 20,000 patients throughout Wales and its members fulfilled more than 250,000 hours of duties.
