Despite the recession, cosmetic surgery is booming

While manufacturing and banking have been hit hard by the recession, the plastic surgery industry have never been busier.

Figures from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, show more of us are going under the knife in the hope of emerging from the anaesthetic slimmer, smoother and all round better looking.

Women comprise of  91 per cent of cosmetic surgery's clientele, but men are increasingly their market share with male breast reductions to correct so called "moobs" rising.

Britons now spend more than £650m on cosmetic surgery each year the market continues to rise.
